Microsoft CRM 3.0 Project Scotland
ProjectScotland is the revolutionary new volunteering organisation for young people in Scotland.
Its volunteering placements help young people discover new skills, confidence and experience in something they are interested in which will help them in later life.
In its first year alone, ProjectScotland exceeded it's ambitious targets. Since launch the organisation has placed over 1,000 young people into full time volunteering placements - equivalent to a commitment of over 800,000 hours of voluntary work across Scotland.
To create structured & rewarding placements for young people, ProjectScotland partners with over 130 non-profit organisations across Scotland. Given its planned growth, the organisation wished to streamline its business processes and improve efficiency.
Company Net worked with ProjectScotland to design an IT Roadmap that would outline the proposed platforms and systems for the next three years.
The first project from this to be delivered is the implementation of a customised CRM 3.0 system that allows information to be shared and managed across all departments of the organisation, and which improves efficiencies and reduces some of the administrative burdens for staff and allows them to easily find, share, use, and report on, data held within the system.
Company Net and ProjectScotland took a collaborative approach to the project, which featured training and the use of SharePoint technologies to share project progress and related information between the two organisations.
Subsequent stages of the project will include a public-facing web content management system built using Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 technology and a volutnteer community message board developed on a Microsoft .Net 2.0 platform.
